MOVIE SCORE: 5/5
A PITCH PERFECT, WONDERFULLY WEIRD, ADRENALINE-FUELED THRILL RIDE; AN UPROARIOUSLY GOOD TIME.
There’s not a dull moment in this entire film, and every single strange and surreal beat of it just works. With a great soundtrack, stellar performances, extraordinary direction, and a unique and engaging story, it’s an impossibly good time that I wanted to revisit as soon as it ended.

"Bloody Hell is that rare horror comedy that manages to be both scary and funny, but more than that, it’s surprising. The plot is twisty and brisk, the characters well realised and engaging and the acting is unusually nuanced and well observed. In terms of indie Aussie horror flicks...it’s punching far, far above its weight.
Ignore the torture porny poster art, and get your eyeballs on this delightful flick, because bloody hell, Bloody Hell is an absolute hoot!"

"What's most impressive about Bloody Hell is the polished style of filmmaking".
Sometimes at film festivals we may be forgiving of amateur mistakes if we see some genuine talent there. Grierson puts mainstream Hollywood movies to shame. He’s careful about what is in each frame. A lot of shots are either locked off, or tracking steadily. Big studio movies now will just shake the camera and cut it together, including some of the main Marvel movies.
Grierson is intentional about every single thing he’s showing you".

Bloody Hell Review: A John Wick For Horror Fans That Actually Works
MOVIE SCORE: 4/5
The utter lunacy of Bloody Hell is a triumph...(its) unique cinematography is utterly captivating. Bloody Hell inexplicably combines two elements that shouldn't work and yet do: high-octane action with a creepy, sadistic family of murderers.

executed by Grierson…an appropriately brooding meditation
about nationhood, nostalgia, morality, faith, love and loss,
and the tricky nature of art.”
